How Long Do Patagonia Repairs Take

My down sweater from fall 2013 has this tear at the bottom of the hem jacket. Do you think if I went to patagonia they could provide me with merchandise credit to buy a new one? I'd rather get some credit to buy a new one then have this repaired, as I've beat this down sweater up a fair amount.

They'll likely repair it.

I mean, they're pretty sustainable but not in the business of giving Out free stuff.

Patagonia usually only repairs their items as it seems they are trying to get people to reuse products that still have a lot of life left in them rather than throwing it away and getting a new one (wornwear- check out the instagram and there is a whole thing about it on their website).

You could ask about a credit but honestly, I doubt it.

There seems to be a lot of posts saying they have provided people with replacements event.. I definitely have purchased stuff from worn wear before.

RIP Patagonia.

People will continue to use and abuse the warranty. If you were pretty rough on it and damaged it, it might be good to just buy a new one or see if they'll repair it.

I pray that people like you DON'T buy patagonia and will go elsewhere. I'll continue to buy and repair and not request new gear for free.

lol the customer service representative literally said that's why the prices are so high because of their warranty which is meant to be used, so you can screw off with your holier-than-thou attitude, so sorry not everyone has the financial capacity to buy high quality clothing new.

Their policy is if it can be repaired, they'll repair it. If not, then they'll replace it. I think that's a good policy, no use making a whole new jacket if a current one can be fixed.

If I bought something and really wore it in and it lasted me 5 years, I would say it had a good run and I got my money's worth. Even if I could, I wouldn't go back and ask for a replacement. That's just greedy. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Talked to patagonia and they said I could do an exact exchange for a new down sweater. What an awesome warranty!
